  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 225°F. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, continue beating until stiff. Add vanilla.
Pipe onto baking sheets. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off oven and let dry for another hour.
